Every day, the market asks for more and more special shapes capable of surprising the final user. The result of this is that, at present, a wide range of products needs bending or curving of metals.

Bending is a very delicate process requiring the assessment of several parameters, in order to achieve the desired result while safeguarding the surface quality of the profile.

Giulipas is equipped with two variable-radius machines, which make it possible to obtain bends with different and uneven radii on the same length of tube. The radii that can be achieved, which in any event depend on the tube diameter and thickness, range from a minimum of 100 mm up to, of course, the straight tube. Moreover, bends that develop on single plane are also possible.

Each profile diameter or shape needs suitable equipment. During the course of the years, Giulipas has built many tools for the most common diameters.These tools are carefully selected, in terms of both the material they are made of (from tempered steel up to special types of nylon), and the strict dimensional tolerances which Giulipas requires of the manufacturers. This attention is specifically required in order to obtain a bend with the highest quality, crucial for producing high-quality products.

For more complex situations, we rely on experienced external suppliers which are able to produce very tight bends, if necessary made with internal core and developed on multiple planes. Again, Giulipas can rely on a large stock of equipment for the most common diameters and shapes.
